Elior North America Food Service Manager 2 - Lancer Hospitality in Saint Paul, Minnesota

The Food Service Manager will be responsible for the training and oversight of a permanent staffing team, food quality, preparation, and production at the specified property. Staffing teams include but are not limited to; Executive Chef, Sous Chef, food service managers, cashiers, baristas, cooks, utility, and catering.

Responsible for ensuring that Lancer is delivering high quality food with friendly service and each locations dining operation is run in a professional, efficient and profitable manner. On occasion, the FSM is also responsible for staffing and oversight of events and service that might be needed outside of our regular operating hours.

Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership abilities, communication skills, and the ability to nurture a team-centered work environment in which staff members are motivated to provide exceptional service. Must have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service for every customer, every time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, training and retention of large staffing team that includes Chefs, food service managers, cashiers, baristas, cooks, utility, catering sales manager and catering sales team.

  • Ensure the operation is delivering high quality food with friendly service.

  • Oversees the business is run in a professional, efficient, and profitable manner.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills with all employees.

Postion Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; some college preferred

  • 2 years supervisory in a quick service establishment

  • Proven track record of financial responsibility

  • Must be Safe-Serv Manager certified within 30 days of hire

  • Must be able to follow written recipes and instructions in English

  • Positive customer service attitude

  • Enthusiastic commitment to customer service
