Job Overview: Elior North America is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our Corporate Team in our Ridgeland, MS office. This role is part of our Shared Services team that supports the mission of our 1500 accounts across the US.

The Revenue Accountant is responsible for the Company’s sales reporting, invoice calculation and creation, and recording of revenue and receivables.

The finance team and majority of the Elior North America corporate staff are working remotely at the current time.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Compile sales data from source systems. Transmit data to corporate ERP and calculate invoices. Various types of invoicing include by item, cost plus invoicing, management fees, subsidies, and special items such as catering.

  • Accrue commission calculations on a weekly basis for periodic payment, per the contract.

  • Run calculations of management fees and subsidies across accounts to calculate appropriate customer fees based on percentages or fixed fees.

  • Review invoices for correct data input and calculations.

  • Update sales data to record contract changes, including per item costs, sliding scales, and fee calculations.

  • Prepare financials by account and provide to business unit leadership for review and approval.

  • Record weekly inventory adjustments for cost of goods sold calculations. Perform necessary adjustments after reconciling beginning inventory, purchase, ending inventory and cost of goods sold.

  • Perform adjustments to invoices as requested by business units.

  • Prepare and maintain all required reports to include account profit and loss, inventory reports, meal counts, and AR aging reports.

  • Perform account reconciliations for Accounts Receivable, revenue, and other related accounts.

  • Respond to customer and business unit inquiries related to invoices and accounts receivables.

  • Identifies and pursues continuous improvement activities within their span of control and influence

  • Support other areas of the business as needed.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience in Accounting including hands-on experience with invoicing and cost of goods sold.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or Business-related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains)

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Ability to work with database and ERP systems, including ad hoc reports.

  • Strong revenue accounting and accounts receivable skills.

  • Microsoft Office skills.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Well organized and detail-oriented.

  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks along with the ability to work with multiple corporate and internal customers across the organization.
