Job Overview: Elior North America is looking for a Cash Office Accountant to join our Corporate Team in our Ridgeland, MS office. This role is part of our Shared Services team that supports the mission of our 1500 accounts across the US.

The Cash Office Accountant is responsible for the Company’s cash receipts and revenue reconciliation.

The finance team and majority of the Elior North America corporate staff are working remotely at the current time.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Performs procedures pertaining to the weekly reconciliation of cash to revenue for multiple segments and units

  • Assist with adjustments necessary to reconcile cash

  • Performs training and mentoring to multiple operating segments/unit leadership

  • Performs training and mentoring to financial management and other departments within Shared Services

  • Performs procedures pertaining to the cash management reporting and bank reconciliation

  • Performs research and analysis of cash control processes and procedures

  • Support other areas of the business, as needed.

  • Identifies and pursues continuous improvement activities within their span of control and influence

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience in Accounting including hands-on experience with invoicing and cost of goods sold.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of experience in financial accounting systems (i.e., balance sheet account reconciliations, general ledger, cash controls).

  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or Business-related field.

Skills Required:

  • Basic Accounting skills

  • Ability to work with database and ERP systems, including ad hoc reports.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communications skills with G/L analytical skills

  • Must be able to reconcile general ledger cash accounts to bank statements

  • Must be customer service oriented

  • Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines

  • Must be able to accept and adapt to change

  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision in a team environment – self-motivated

  • Team player

  • Relationship builder
