The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced, motivated Full-Time Resource Chef to our Healthcare team in Pittsburgh, PA. As a Resource Chef, you will have the opportunity to supervise and participate in the preparation of meals for various locations as assigned. Cura Hospitality has a wonderful partnership with Allegheny Health Network and the Resource Chef will travel between 7 locations in and around the Pittsburgh area. As a Resource Chef, you must have a reliable form of transportation. The locations covered by this position are Allegheny General Hospital, Forbes Hospital, Jefferson Hospital, West Penn Hospital, Wexford Hospital, Canonsburg, and Allegheny Valley. Mileage reimbursement provided for commutes over 30 miles; Transportation cannot be covered by Uber and Lift services, or a bus route. #LI-EB1 #indeedelior #JC
What you'll be doing:
Planning, organizing, and supervising culinary operations of retail and catering services.
Planning menus based on various factors, such as market trends, customer preferences, and nutritional considerations.
Conferring with district managers or other departments regarding daily aspects of dining service.
Directing and coordinating the work of kitchen staff.
Other tasks as assigned.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
Certification by a recognized culinary institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in batch and bulk cooking.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
At least three years’ experience in culinary management.
Strong kitchen leadership and communication skills.
Intermediate tech skill - Must be able to use Outlook, Excel, & Online ordering systems.
Must live or reside in the Pittsburgh metro area.
Nice-to-haves:
At least one years’ experience in a similar role.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Culinary experience in the healthcare industry a plus!

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE
