The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add a skilled, experienced Lead Event Chef to our Abigail Kirsch team in New York, NY. As a Lead Event Chef, you will have the opportunity to lead meal service and a talented kitchen staff for a variety of events.
Compensation is $30 an hour.
What you'll be doing:
Training kitchen staff as needed.
Ensuring that kitchen has correct stock for event menu.
Participating in all aspects of food preparation.
Ensuring that kitchen staff adheres to all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
At least three years’ relevant experience.
Superior knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
Excellent leadership skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
