The Role at a glance:
We are looking for a motivated catering attendant to join an experienced catering team at the Mystic Yachting Club! As a catering attendant for Lancer Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to provide superior service to our customers at catered events, helping to ensure the success of every event you work.
What you'll be doing:
Set Up:
Conducting venue setup (tables and chairs) prior to event staff arrival.
Ensuring event spaces are arranged according to client floorplan and venue policies.
Prepare event areas by cleaning and organizing furniture, setting up audio-visual equipment, and confirming functionality.
Collaborate with Event Sales and Operations teams to ensure seamless event setup and preparation.
During Event:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces throughout the event, including restrooms and public areas.
Monitor and replenish supplies and essentials to support smooth event operations.
Assist guests with requests, seating adjustments, and directional guidance, enhancing guest satisfaction.
Support service staff by clearing tables, delivering food and beverages, and assisting with event setup adjustments as needed.
Breakdown:
Assist guests out of the venue and/or to their vehicles.
Assist with clearing and breaking down tables and chairs.
Assist with breakdown and storage of event equipment and supplies, ensuring all items are returned to designated storage areas.
Confirm with the Captain or Supervisor that all areas are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for the next event or service.
What we're looking for:
The ability to work as part of a team devoted to providing outstanding customer service.
Have excellent communication and organization skills.
Have excellent attention to detail and service knowledge.
Banquet/wait staff experience preferred but not required.
Compensation:
$20/hour
