Elior North America is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Communications to lead and enhance our communication efforts across the organization. In this visible leadership role, you will oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring they align with our mission, vision, and values. This remote role requires a forward-thinking approach to managing communications in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Responsibilities:

Internal Communications:

  • Strategy & Content Development: Craft and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that reinforces company culture and keeps employees informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational goals.

  • Executive Communications: Develop and manage executive communications, including the CEO’s bi-weekly newsletter and other leadership messages, ensuring clarity and consistency.

  • Employee Engagement: Design and disseminate engaging companywide messages, newsletters, and announcements that reflect our mission and business strategy.

  • Event Coordination: Organize and facilitate virtual and in-person events, such as senior leadership meetings and town halls, including agenda development, presenter coordination, and material preparation.

  • Change Management: Support organizational changes with strategic communications plans, including the creation and distribution of talking points, FAQs, and announcements.

  • Data-driven Decision Making: Track, measure, and report on the performance of internal communications efforts, adjusting, as necessary.

External Communications:

  • Media Relations: Oversee the company’s media relations strategy, managing the PR agency to ensure strategic alignment and high-quality execution of media plans and pitches.

  • Press Releases: Draft and distribute press releases for major company announcements, ensuring accurate representation of the company’s voice and tone.

  • Media Monitoring: Monitor media coverage and share relevant news internally, leveraging the weekly CEO newsletter and other channels to showcase coverage.

  • Crisis Communications: Lead crisis communication efforts, coordinating with the media relations agency to respond promptly and effectively to external inquiries and issues.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervision & Development: Manage and mentor the Communications Manager, providing direction and support to ensure effective internal and external communications.

  • Performance Tracking: Track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.

  • Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between Elior Group and Elior North America, ensuring alignment and effective communication of global corporate activities and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years leading Corporate Communications in a complex, matrixed environments.

  • Exceptional Writing Skills: Demonstrated ability to craft clear, engaging, and persuasive written content for diverse audiences, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging across all communication channels. Candidates with writing samples and portfolios preferred.

  • Agency Management: Experience managing PR and social media agencies to ensure strategic alignment and quality outcomes.

  • Crisis Management: Proven ability to handle sensitive issues and manage crisis communications effectively.

  • Education: Bachelors or equivalent in Journalism, PR, Marketing and/or related field highly Preferred
