The Cook Assistant is responsible for food preparation and cooking activities to help a kitchen run smoothly. Duties of this position may encompass many different tasks including preparing food by chopping and dicing, pre-baking, making desserts, soups, sauces or salads, marinating foods and cleaning. The ideal candidate must be able to work well in a team environment and have excellent organizational skills. This position requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire work day and the ability to lift, stack and maneuver objects that may weigh 30 to 50 pounds.
