The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, motivated event manager to our Design Cuisine team in Washington, DC. The Event Producer/Manager is responsible for managing events of a variety of sized. They are responsible for maintaining positive relationships with established clients, venue stakeholders and vendor partners. They must work both independently and as part of team to fully manage organizational processes including event production and client activity. They will attend, execute and manage events as needed. They will also work closely with the Sales Executive and Event Manager in the administration, execution, and production process of his events. They will work with the General Manager of Venues and Sales Executive to assist in recruiting and training new Event support staff. S/he must promote the Company’s culture, mission and philosophy.

What you'll be doing:

• Communicate with all client, venue, company and relevant stakeholders, across all levels.

• Organize event planning strategy, compose and disseminate communications as required and maintain order throughout event execution.

• Promote teamwork and quality service through regular communication and coordination with other departments and external stakeholders.

• Assist with event support staff scheduling and training.

• Adhere to company requirements for guest/employee accidents or injuries and in emergency situations.

• Assist with maintaining and documenting new standard operating procedures (SOP).

• Attend, oversee and execute events, as identified.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Complete special projects as directed by the DOV and Sales Executive.

What we're looking for:

  • College degree preferred.

  • 2 + years of prior administrative experience.

  • 3 + years of experience in event planning, event production or event management.

  • Prior hotel/hospitality/catering experience preferred.

  • Excellent computer skills necessary, including EXCEL, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office

  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate work related information to co-workers, supervisors, vendors and clients.

  • Able to work flexible work schedule to accommodate business needs.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be highly resourceful.
